Drive It School of Motoring celebrates another fantastic achievement as instructor Simon successfully passes his part 3 test, becoming a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and on his very first attempt.
In 2024, after taking early retirement from the emergency services, Simon started a new career with Drive It School of Motoring. He quickly passed his Part 1 Theory Test, followed by his Part 2 Driving Ability Test, and in a little over 6 months, he successfully completed his Part 3 Instructional Ability Test, the final requirement to become a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). This achievement was facilitated by the coaching, guidance, and planning from Drive It School of Motoring trainer, Paul Andrews.
During the Part 3 Instructional Ability Test, Simon was required to conduct a typical lesson with his student while being observed by a senior examiner. Achieving this is a notable accomplishment for Simon, considering the national first-time pass rate is approximately 20% and in such a short time frame. This success highlights the commitment he has demonstrated in his training with his instructor, Paul, over recent months.
Thanks also to Simon's learner, Taylor, who dedicated his time to assist Simon at the Taunton Driving Test Centre on the day.
Congratulations, Simon, from all the Drive It team, and welcome to the green side. A fantastic part 3 first time pass for Drive It School of Motoring.
